I can share with you a couple of horror stories about why it is important to baby proof your home. Lets start with Lisa daughter number 3. Upon waking up one morning to get daughter number 1 and number 2 prepared for school we noticed we were missing someone. Lisa than two years old had gotten up sometime during the night got out of her bed went to the bathroom somehow filled it with about two inches of water and promptly got in, we found her sleeping with just her nose mouth and eyes uncovered by the water! It was horrifying.
Another time, daughter number 4 Rocky got into the refrigerator stood in it broke the bottom shelf and all the contents and her fell to the floor, she took 4 stitches over her eyebrow. Of course both these incidents took place over 25 years ago when baby safety consisted of tying cabinets together with hair ties!
Today it is a lot easier to baby proof your home. Children will get into anything if they can, that natural curiosity propels them into all kinds of tight spots! Today you have the luxury of making the choice to protect your baby from a host of dangers in the home!
