Nursery Themes

Geez when I was having babies nursery themes were pink for girls and blue for boys. Some people got creative and did yellow for girls and green for boys! That was the extent of it. Today nursery themes are whatever goes.

There are some pretty amazing things you can do with a nursery even on a budget! Nurseries on a budget are a great way for you to use things you already have around the house to decorate the nursery with.There are some really great ideas for decorating a nursery on a budget.

One of the main things to keep in mind when you are decorating on a budget is dual function nursery furniture. You will get more use out of the furniture if it can do more than one thing, I like this chalkboard bench, because it is a storage trunk that can hold extra blankets or toys and as your baby grows they have a super cool drawing space!  I love the orange color and the kind of circus feel it has to it.

This animal mobile would also be great with the monkeys and chalk board storage bench . Not exactly matchy matchy but all similar enough to tie into one theme, in this case sort of a circus whimsical nursery theme.

 If you have room for this your baby will use it from the time they are old enough to hold a piece of chalk until after first grade! Kids love to draw on things. I like this little table because it can be a play area and it can be a dining area if you throw a little table cloth on it.
